Nipah is a kind of palm (palm), which grows in the mangroves or tidal area near the waterfront. This plant is also known by many other names such as Daon, daonan (Sd., Bms.), Buyuk (Jw., Bali), bhunyok (Md.), bobo (Manado, Ternate, Tidore), boboro (Halmahera), palean, palenei, pelene, pulene, puleanu, pulenu, puleno, pureno, parinan, parenga (Seram, Ambon and surrounding areas). Nipah (Melayu) [1]

In some other countries, this plant is known by the name (in English) Attap Palm (Singapore), Nipa Palm or Losa (Philippines), or commonly called Nypa palm. Scientific name is Nypa fruticans Wurmb, and is known as the only member of genus Nypa. This plant is the only kind of palm of mangrove areas. Fossil palm pollen is known from about 70 million years ago. (From Indonesian Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Nipah trees is also aplenty as the land grows in Kalimantan Borneo is a land of mud, especially in the area of ​​the river. It's one that grows near my grandmother's house. He was fruitful. The fruit can be eaten. Fruit taste like coconuts.
